Given a complete "overhaul" and re-opened in May 2011, this iconic property has been given new life! Still the only lodge on the banks of The Zambezi River in Victoria Falls, A'Zambezi River Lodge is looking stunning with new and stylish rooms and bathrooms. A’ Zambezi is located some 5kms from the Falls. The hotel comprises 83 rooms, each with en-suite bathroom and balcony. Chobe National Park
Located some 90 kilometers from the Victoria Falls, the park covers 11700 square kilometers of pristine wilderness. Vast endless landscapes, open plains, baobabs and ancient woodland dominate the panorama. The wildlife roams in profusion and diversity. The elephant population, estimated to number in excess of 35000, is the largest single concentration in Africa surviving within the confines of a proclaimed National Park. Other major species such as lion, square lipped rhino, wild dog, sable and roan antelope are encountered in many areas of the reserve.
Chobe Game Lodge
Set on the banks of the Chobe River, this is the only lodge located within the confines of the National Park. Each of the 46 Moorish styled, en-suite rooms, is river facing with their own private terrace/balcony. All are fully air conditioned and come complete with complimentary stocked mini-bar. For the ultimate in luxury, the Lodge has 4 river view suites, each with their own private plunge pool and sundeck. A separate lounge area is another feature. Game viewing is conducted by 4x4 vehicle in the National Park, and by boat on the Chobe River.
Savute Elephant Camp
Savute
In the heart of the Chobe National Park lies a dynamic wilderness and eco- system called Savute, an arid environment created over hundreds of years by a mysterious change in the environment that is still evolving today.
Dry season game viewing concentrates Savute’s resident bull elephant, antelope and lion prides around half empty pans and permanent waterholes. Black-backed jackal, bat-eared foxes, tsessebe, kudu, impala and ostrich abound. The summer rains bring a feast for lion, hyena and cheetah as thousands of migrating zebra assemble in a chaotic pattern on the marsh. Cape buffalo herds arrive in number and migrant birds swell Savute’s resident 300 species, thrilling birdwatchers with their antics
Savute Elephant Camp comprises 12 En-suite luxury tents with thatched roofs set on raised wooden decks over looking the Savute Channel. Each tent is equipped with individual gas geysers; fully stocked mini bar; a private viewing deck with hammock and easy chairs; electric overhead fan and lighting; electric heaters. All the tents, public areas and swimming pool overlook the adjacent water hole so it is not uncommon to see a wide variety of birds and animals from the privacy of your own tent.
